Beautiful British Columbia
As I begin this report I am filled with the joy, gratitude and wonder at the greatness of God. He uses the foolish things to confound the wise and works in wonderful ways in, on and through his people. Also I would like to thank Sharon Fehr and Lynne Thompson who travelled with me and worked endless hours in Port Alberni and Victoria and for Kisa McDonald for joining our team in Victoria to pray for our capital city. We had an amazing time in Port Alberni! Thank you Cheryl MacLean for your vision, love of your city and a passion to see people impacted by the spirit of God. We had two very rewarding days. The first day I spoke to business people on principles from the word re advancing the kingdom in the business realm. We then prayed and prophesied over them and blessed their business to prosper. We also did individual personal ministry while there. The second day we went and prayed at a centre that ministers to the broken and the hurting. We prayed through the building and blessed the organisation. We also prayed for the CEO for healing. I can report that she is doing "way better". We then had a women's meeting which started with an inspiring time of worship after which I scrapped what I had prepared as the Lord took us a different direction. I spoke on Ezekiel followed by a powerful time of prayer for all. We left feeling encouraged and continue to get reports of the goodness of God in people's lives. They would like us back next year. Next time, I believe we will pray in the city as well. Victoria: Thank you to Lorraine and Bruce Friesen for allowing our team to invade their space and for the invitation to speak at Lifetree. I had a lovely time reconnecting with some dear friend and speaking prophetically into this beautiful community. Day One of praying into the governmental seat of Beautiful British Columbia: Victoria Our first destination was Mile 0. This is the beginning marker of the trans Canada highway route #1 that spans from sea to sea. This major route is 4990 miles long (or 8030 kilometres) and is the longest highway route in the world. It is a transcontinental federal-provincial highway system. We began here, as when we get to Newfoundland in September to pray we will pray at their marker. However, there is another system that marks our country and that is the rail system. When B.C. became a province one of the promises that was given was the linking of the province to the east by rail. This undertaking came at the expense of lives, many of them Chinese. At this marker, we began with worship and 2 Chronicles 7:14 says, ‘If my people who are called by my name will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven and I will forgive their sins and will heal their land’. We stood in the gap and repented for sending others to places to do work we didn't want to do. For the loss of lives, for racism, for brutality, for pride and arrogance. We thanked the Lord for the blood of Jesus that washes and cleanses us from all unrighteousness. We thanked him that mercy triumphs over judgement. We then proclaimed Psalm 24:7-10 that states, ‘Lift up your heads oh you gates, be lifted up you ancient doors, that the King of glory may come in. Who is this King of glory? The Lord strong and mighty, the Lord mighty in battle! Lift up your heads you gates; lift them up you ancient doors that the King of glory may come in. Who is the King of glory? The Lord Almighty - He is the King of glory!’ We declared the gates of heaven open and invited the King of glory to come in. We wrote those scriptures on sticks as well as Psalm 72:8 – ‘May he rule from sea to sea and from the river to the ends of the earth’ and planted them in the ground. We then sprinkled salt and had communion together. The amazing thing to us is when we finished our repentance at least five busloads of Chinese tourists arrived at the place! We then went on to Willow Beach where we began to pray into Dr. Charles Price’s experience. He was a man of God that worked in signs and wonders. He came to Victoria and Vancouver in 1923 and had a huge impact. In fact, it is the greatest revival the city has seen to date. These meetings were held at Willow Arena. However, Dr.Price was opposed by some of the city pastors and was detained by the police for practicing medicine without a licence. We stood in the gap and repented for jealousy, envy, strife and contention, for calling that which is good evil, for mocking the move of the Spirit, rejecting the move of God and for an anti Christ spirit. We then thanked the Lord that the blood of Jesus covers all sin. We invited the wind of the spirit to blow and proclaimed Isaiah 61:1 (the Spirit of the Lord is upon us to because He has anointed us to preach the good news), Psalm 103:3 (he forgives all our sins and heals all our diseases) and Hebrews 1:7 (He makes his angels winds and his servants flames of fire). We called forth the past anointing, healing revival, that the wind of the spirit and that angels would carry it across our land. We salted and planted our scriptures, one in a windmill and the other inside a Canadian flagpole. Interesting note: the wind increased and blew hard as we prayed here! 😊 Next we went up Mount Tolmie. It is a high point in Victoria and has panoramic views of the city and beyond. Here we repented for blood shed, murder, rape, abduction, abortion, witchcraft and occultist practices and rituals, for sexual perversity and uncleanness. We stood in the gap and asked the Lord for mercy and declared the blood of Jesus cleanses all. There is a table that actually looks like it could be used for sacrifices at the top of the mountain. We had communion there and poured the juice over the top of the table. We declared the opening up of the gates, that the King of glory would come in as in Psalm 24 and Psalm 43:3...’send us your light and your faithful care, let them lead us, let them lead us to your holy mountain, to the place where you dwell’. We sprinkled salt everywhere and we planted those scriptures that we wrote on sticks. We blessed the city and invited the wind of the spirit to blow. Day Two: As I was getting ready for the day, I felt the Lord say put on your heart necklace because today is all about the heart of the matter. As we gathered Lynne said she woke up with the song King of My Heart. We put the song on and basked in His presence. We knew the Lord was taking us into something close to His heart. While praying we were graced with different birds gathering by our place. One in particular was a heron right in front of us near the shore. Another was a humming bird that was perhaps a meter away from us on the deck and lastly a flock of wild geese that swam in front of us. We knew these birds were significant. We weren't sure why but we were sure the spirit did. We also heard the song; All my Fountains are in You. This song is also a scripture, Psalm 87:7 ‘As they make music they will sing, "All my fountains are in you”’. We figured a fountain would be salted at some point in the day and this scripture written on a stick and planted in the ground. We headed out in search of the naval base on the Songhees First Nations land. What we found was the Songhees wellness centre. Upon arriving Sharon went inside to explore. This centre is a place of healing, community and education for the band. It is beautiful. But the stunning component was the huge heron that was carved and stood outside in the parking lot. We all went in and a lovely man named Lyle asked if he could help. We began asking him questions and he graciously answered the best he could. We asked him about the residential schools and he began to cry, as did we. He told us about the numbers of those that have committed suicide. How his cousin that was sexually abused received a settlement of $130,000 but a week later hung himself. It's not about the money, it's about the deep pain that he couldn't escape. How the children were ripped from their parents’ arms, how his own parents went to a secluded island up the coast with his younger siblings to hide them from the authorities so they could stay with the family. How he resented Brian Mulroney for the apology that he made on behalf of the government because it didn't come from the heart, it was just words. We wept and wept. We stood in the gap representing government, teachers and ministers. Sharon led the way on behalf of our government and we asked him to forgive us. Much weeping and tears by us all, truly touching the heart. Lyle said he got to come back to his family some summers and then told us that he belonged to a marching band and because of that he got to go all over B.C. and he was grateful for that. He said we must forgive and that's why this wellness centre. He said the fountain outside represents the river flowing to bring healing and life. We all looked at each other.. ‘There’s a fountain!!’ Yes indeed there was a fountain, flowing like a river! What a divine appointment! We got to pray with Lyle for blessing, healing and restoration. We were indeed blessed with such a time as this. We went out to the fountain, prayed for restoration of the First Nations people, that mercy and grace would flow like a river, and we salted and blessed the land. We then declared and planted the scripture Psalm 87:7,1Peter 2:9, (You are a royal priesthood, a holy nation, Gods special possession, that you may declare the praises of Him who called you out of the darkness and into his wonderful light) and John 4:14, (Indeed, the water I give will become in them a spring of water welling up to eternal life) and Jeremiah 29:11, (For I know the plans I have for you declares the Lord, plans to prosper you and not harm you, plans to give you a hope and a future). Next we headed to the Legislative buildings. We began our time here with repentance. We repented for self interest, selfishness, pride, arrogance, falsehood, lying, manipulation, control, rebellion, witchcraft, lust of the eyes, greed, corruption, division. We asked the Lord to forgive us for wrong alignments and for not representing the people, for broken covenants. We claimed the blood of Jesus, which covers all and asked for mercy to triumph over judgements. We asked that justice would roll like a river and that the Lord would bless the province with godly government. That his plans and purposes would reign as the government is upon His shoulders. We blessed the government calling up wisdom, righteousness and prosperity. That they would be of one heart and mind as they serve the people. We declared blessing in the city and in the country, coming in and going out. That the spirit of God would come and direct their footsteps and decision-making. We declared and planted Psalm 133:1 (How good and pleasant it is when Gods people live together in unity...from there the Lord bestows His blessing even life forevermore), Isaiah 9:6...(and the government will be upon his shoulders), Habakkuk 2:14 (for the earth will be filled with the knowledge of the Lord as the water covers the sea) and Amos 5:24 (let justice roll like a river, righteousness like a never failing stream). We salted through and around the building declaring the blessing of God. We planted the scriptures in the various locations on site, salted the fountain outside the government building and across the street where all the provincial and federal crests are displayed. We had an amazing time of prayer and we are confident that the spirit will bring to completion all that he began.
